Using Automatic SSL
The Automatic SSL feature allows CacheFly to automatically create SSL certificates for custom domains, as long as the domains are pointing to a CacheFly service.
These certificates will automatically renew and expired certificates will be automatically removed.

Enabling Automatic SSL
To enable Automatic SSL for a service:
Navigate to Configuration > Services > [SERVICE NAME]
On the left of the screen, click on SETTINGS to view the settings for the service
Click on the toggle to enable Automatic SSL
If this feature is not enabled, please click Contact Sales button to see if this feature can be enabled
Remember to click the Apply Changes button to save your changes.
Scroll the graphics in this step horizontally to see all the screens.

How to Use an Automatic SSL for a Custom Domain
The Automatic SSL feature will require validation to verify control and ownership of the domain, and to issue a SSL certificate.
There are two ways to validate domains:
HTTP Validation
HTTP validation simply requires you to create a CNAME record pointing to the CacheFly CNAME target [<service_name>.cachefly.net].
DNS Validation
This is normally for cases where HTTP Validation is not an option, such as those using multiple CDNs.
A CNAME will still be required, but this option generates a unique validation target to point to.
Once a domain has been successfully validated, you will see the Validation Status set to Validated and we will issue a certificate for the domain.
